Dear Friends,I am getting a "Lock Timeout" error when running an SQL financial program from a client Windows XP computer where the SQL program resides on our LAN. The LAN computer is running MS Windows Server 2003 for small business. The LAN computer is running SQL Server 2005. As I have read info on the net covering this problem, most solutions deal with changing the program. The problem is that I cannot in anyway alter the SQL financial program. Is there any way to change settings on the server to get past this problem? The problem is occurring when the software is creating a .DB file in a temp folder. Is there a way that I can correct this problem in some other way ... maybe there is a program that can help me diagnose the difficulty?Thank you so much for your help,Mike |

What's the exact error you are receiving? If it's just "lock timeout" that is pretty ambiguous. |
