I believe, years ago, I saw a demo of a tool that would extract all tables/columns and create a nice HTML presentation, there would be a main page with all tables and clicking on the TableName would take you to a new page with all columns, definitions, etc.

I can't remember the name of the tool and for the life of me can't seem to find it by goooogling, sometimes there are too many results to look through!

As this would be a one time thing I would prefer free but anything would be helpful at this point, working with new customer with lot's of tables and need to get my hands around everything!

Thanks!

You can generate a database diagrams through SQL Server, under the database, choose "Database Diagrams", - new, add tables.
Also Microsoft Office Visio can generate Database diagrams.
