Hi all,

Is it possible to create a view in a T-SQL (MSSQL 2005) database to a table on a seperate server on a MySQL database (via an inter site link or something like that)?

I've been told it is possible but I'm doubtful it is.

Thanks

It is possible.
Create a linked server and then use the linked server name in a 4-part name in your view.

Thanks, what is a linked server and how do I set one up?

do the database deployments need to sit on the same box?
