| actually am a biztalk developer. now am using all the components(vs-2005,sql server2005,share point,biztalk2006) in virtual hard disk. now i need to change my computer name so may be sql server2005 and some other components will not work...so tel me the way how to reconfigure sql sever2005?plzzzzzzzzzz urgent requrevinay kumar k |

| You will have to rerun the setup of sql server to detect the computer name change, and the setup will just fix that.That means you run the setup, but choose to "upgrade" the existing instance, which will just "fix" the name change, without going through all the rest of the setup.you could also go through this support note:http://support.microsoft.com/kb/899159 |

changing computer name-sql server 2005 will work?
