| I've been into C++ for years but never got past the basics. After much frustration I was told I need to start with PHP. PHP has led me to SQL, I also read that database programmers make good money.Anyway, my problem is I just got a book on SQL and I'M also using http://www.w3schools.com, but both sources start me of right from the get go learning SQL without telling me how to start. When I launch MySQL it pops up like a DOS window and ask me for my password. Since I've never used it before, how do I know my password and how and where do I start tryping in these SQL commands in order to learn SQL? Thanks. |

| This is a SQL Server forum - you may want to find someplace that specializes in MySQL. (They are two different database engines)Some days you're the dog, and some days you're the fire hydrant. |
