I have a wired problem that I can't figure out. I have 2 named instancesinstalled on the same box. I can connect to both of them via Studio. Bothwere installed in the same manner. One instance behaves as expected but if Itry to create a Maintenance Plan on the second instance I get the followingerror:The action you attempted to perform on a remote instance of SQL Server hasfailed because the action requires a SQL Server component that is notinstalled on the remote computer. To proceed, install SQL Server 2005Management Tools on the remote computer, and then try again. For moreinformation, see "How to: Install SQL Server 2005 (Setup)" in SQL Server2005 Books Online, or find the article on MSDN athttp://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?LinkID=57083 . (ObjectExplorer)I do not understand this as both instances are local. I uninstalled thesecond instance and reinstalled it but I get the same result.Any help would be very much appreciated.Kind RegardsPete. |
