| Hi, i am trying to connect to a remote mssqlserver over the local area network through SQL server management studio however despite many attempts, i could not connect.I am using SQL 2005, as far as what i have read, i tried to configured the server to allow remote access, i have also configured surface area and enabled TCP/IP. i have also configured the server configuration manager's TCP/IP, removed dynamic ports, and indicated a port. I have also exempted that port to allow to pass to the firewall.but still i cannot connect. Is there something i have missed? i appreciate any help. thank you. :) |
