1.if i backup log, is backup uncomitted transaction?2. if yes then if my last backup log have a uncommited transaction, can i restore it?6:00 full backup7:00 log backup8:00 log back up (have uncomiitted backup)8:49 i have distaster.can i restore the last backup with uncomitted transaction? |

Uncommitted Transaction will rollback.You can't restore it.You can use Backup log with No_Truncate to get latest committed Transaction(Assuming Database is online) and Restore all Logs along with Full. |

do you mean "Backup log with No_Truncate"it is same Back up the tail of the log, and leave the database in the restoring state?if not wht i need this option? |
