 why is linked server procedures taking so long???

i dont know what the deal is, it takes me 1-3 secs to execute a query manually but when i add it onto a procedure it hangs for up to 5-10 mins, why is this? and what do i do to fix this?

Post the query. Could be a lot of things: paramater sniffing maybe.
