Hi all,

It is my first time to ask a question here, thanks for your help in advance!

My question is:
How to check if MSDE SQL is installed and if it is the full blown version?
The edition of SQL is 2005 Standard and installed on a server 2003 box
My deep concern is how to create a dB but not on msde version

I would probably start with Add/Remove programs.

Run the following query

SELECT SERVERPROPERTY('productversion'), SERVERPROPERTY ('productlevel'), SERVERPROPERTY ('edition')
