Hi there - I am relativley new to database administration and am looking for some help with general database maintenance. I know the obvious and have created plans for backups but what other tasks are required to keep an efficiently working SQL Server running? Is there a general checklist for maintenance or any articles I can use as a templated?Kindest regards |

ok thanks - does everyone agree that using maintenance plans is bad or since their re-launch in SQL 2005 is it best practice to now use the maintenance plans for administration? |
