Hi,

Please help, I am trying to configure a SQL server. Currently I have:

C:(raid1) = OS
D:(raid1) =Ldfs, transaction logs, tempdb and logs.
e:(SAN Raid 10) = Database mdfs.

I would like to have another drive to just contain the tempdb but I don't have that choice. This database is read\write intensive.

Please help.

Thanks

since you don't have that choice, i'd put templog on the log drive and tempdev on the data drive

why do people do that? if you don't feel like helping the guy out, why reply at all? or if you're going to give a link, just give a link to where the question was already answered.

Why do we do that? Because it answered his question, and gave him a ton of links to choose from, rather than give him something off the top of my head. I was pretty sure that the links from google would help.
