| When doing a large update on my table; let’s say over 3 million rows, should I disable the indexes to make it faster? As of right now I’m on hour 3 of an update.Thanks for the adviseNick |

| yup. that would be better. remember that each update might have to update the index info also so it might be better to disable and reindex after |

When I tried to disable the index and do my update I received this message and was unable to do my sql update query."Msg 8655, Level 16, State 1, Line 3The query processor is unable to produce a plan because the index 'GroupIndex' on table or view 'CDRS' is disabled."quote:
