Dear All,

Just wanted to know that my Data file size is 14 gb and my log file size is 30 gb.When i am taking a backup size is coming 14 gb and when i am transferring in new machin it is again showing 14 & 30 GB.

Wanted to knwo the reason that why log file size is not getting included in .Bak file and when restoring log file is coming 30 GB

That's just how it works. The backup file size is representative of the used portion of the data file(s). When you restore the database, it will allocate the same space of all database files.
