Hi guy

Could someone please help me out, im getting this error -:

"[Shared Memory]SQL Sever does not exist or access denied"
"[Shared Memory]ConnectionOpen (Connect())"

We are running SQL 2000 with SP3.

Please help me out or point me in some direction, I will really appreciate it.

Maybe the server is not configured for shared memory protocol?
Have you tried tcp/ip for example?

Hi Fred

I am new to this so please don't mind my silly responses, It will just be that im a little confused.

The PC I get this error on is the same PC that SQL 2000 is loaded on.
What do you mean by check the TCP/IP?

shared memory should be enabled.

I have no Box with sql server 2000 running so I cannot have a look...
