| Hi all, I don't know if this is the right place for this, but here goes:I've been asked to build a web site containing, among others, a workflow control system and a bunch of PDFs that need to be indexed. Nothing that can't be solved, except for the source material. This is where the trouble starts.You see, all I have is a MS SQL database backup. The origintal host went under, taking most of his gear with him. What I'm looking for is a way to convert this backup file into something I can handle, such as a MySQL database, an Access file or even an Excel file. Any help is greatly, greatly appreciated! |

| need to restore it first, then you can use SSIS or other tool to move the data to another dbms. But I'd keep it in MSSQL format as that is far more robust than any of the other mentioned formats |

Tried to restore, but without avail, since it tells me that:  If I update to 2000SP4 it won't restore because of a version conflict... |

Hi, thanks a lot for helping me out but could you be a little more literal? As you have seen by now, this is strange territory to me...  So a step-by-step thing would come in mightily useful and would secure you my everlasting gratitude... |
