One of my user having SQL 2000. There the emty dates are stored as 01/01/1900. But I want to display as empty date( / / ) field to my program. So how to do that?

That's a presentation issue

And actually that date really is represented by 0

You should make the column nullable

And in the front end, when null, display nothing
