 faster way to select a table

Hi all, i am using a table which is having millions of records.
i can't apply index on table so can some one tell me that how can i select million of records in seconds while i m running query on live server

now it is taking more then one minute to select 1 million records

Why do you cannot apply the needed index on that table?
Why do you have to take 1 million records?

i can't apply index because my filering records are not unique
my table is updating daily with thousends of records that y its size is big

When you say filering records - do you mean filtering records?
Can you give a sample of that query?

My second question wasn't "why is that table size big?" it was "why do you have to select a million records?" i.e. why do you need a million records as a result of a query?

a lot of factors can effect the speed of the return , as a starting point have you tried to do the SELECT usiing SSMS and see the execution plan.
(it would be useful to see the select statement )
