| Hi,Is it possible to install the SQL 2008 standard on a windows xp proffessional os with sp2.I have checked on the net, it says, we can. But still there is lot of confusion.So, please clarify this doubt.Thanks in advanceSmitha |

| Yes, I have developer edition on my Work PC which is XP. This should also be posted in the Administration forum rather than the T-SQL Forum. ;-) |

| no its not possible to install the standard edition on windows xp. You can only install 1. express2. developerand on windows server family, you can install1. express2. web3. workgroup4. standard5. enterprise |
