Hi. I'm new to SQL and striving to be awesome with SQL so I can move up in the ranks so any help would be appreciated. :)

I have multiple ID's that link back to the previous ID but I need it to link back to the original ID.

Loan PrevLoan
1001 null
1002 1001
1003 null
1004 1002
1005 1004

Since there is really only two loans, I need it to show something like:

Loan OrigLoan
1001 1001
1002 1001
1003 1003
1004 1001
1005 1001

Any help would be greatly appreciated!
