i have one login as 'aspdev' in my sqlserver 2008 database

they should only able to view all the sp's and tables,view,functions

and not able to do alter,update,delete,drop on all tables , sp's views,functions


what to do?

DENY SELECT,INSERT,UPDATE,DELETE,VIEW ON [SchemaName].[aspdev]

its giving error only

i want to deny that permisionns to whole database not for particular schema

If you want that the particular user should not be able to do anything on the database then dont map that user to that particulare DB.
