Hi,
In my .NET application, I have a requirement of sending 3 email reminders within an user entered date. We also have a WCF service which takes all the parameters to send a mail. Is creating an SSIS package and referncing the service to trigger the email, a suitable option in this scenario. We also have some database modifications based on this. Please help. Appreciate your earliest response.

I don't think you should use SSIS for this. .NET can natively send emails, so you don't need SSIS for that.

Yeah is there a service kind of thing in .net which triggers this email on user specified dates?

Sorry I misunderstood your post then.

You can use SSIS for this, however I prefer to just use Database Mail and a SQL Agent job (plus a SQL table for the email information).

Can you please explain how to use or what is database email and sql agent job?
