I had a job that was working great till 2 days ago.It run a stored procedure from a win 2008/sql 2008 server to a sql 2005 linked server.2 days ago, it started failing with this message:" The partner transaction manager has disabled its support for remote/network transactions."Google search resulted in stuff that is already there.any insight will be highly appreciated.I also learn that you cannot run stored procedure with transactions on a remote linked server.CheersParesh MotiwalaRegardsParesh MotiwalaBoston, USA

Hi Yosiasz, thanks for the response. Not sure what you mean by "who owns the linked server" they are all internal servers only.RegardsParesh MotiwalaBoston, USA

I own both servers, but System updates are done by Windows team. It is like a needle in a haystack. I have asked around. Awaiting responses. Most of the tips on MSDN point to MSDTC security configuration which is already there and had never been changed.RegardsParesh MotiwalaBoston, USA
