| I have a SQL Script that I am saving outside of SQL Server and want those that run it to have the ability to just run it and only require putting in their server UserID and password then it runs. I normally just open SQL Server and connect and then run queries but never have run them from outside. The code is just normal code in the script but not sure which connection string to use. Any advice?tina m miller |

How are you going to display the results? Why would you want someone to just run a query blind, with no visibility into the result set(s)? What if there is an error? Does everyone have a copy of SSMS? If not, can you write a simple program that the users can run, and see the result set(s)?OK - so this is more questions, than answers... FischMan |

| Are you thinking of launching the SQL scripts using either the SQLCMD or OSQL utilities?=======================================Faced with the choice between changing one's mind and proving that there is no need to do so, almost everyone gets busy on the proof. -John Kenneth Galbraith |
