Any change for limiting the length of people Signatures? Some of the lengths of the Signatures seem rather egregious in their length. |

Other forums' software which I visit allows me to turn off signatures (and Avatars) - which I always do. The extra wibble makes it harder for me to see wood-for-the-trees. |

I still hold to the old UseNet etiquette rules. No more than 4 lines for a sig (though my one at SSC might be 5 now). Don't need an essay attached to each and every post.

It's like that because of a poster that we nicknamed 'alphabet soup'. Sig full of certifications, but little apparent knowledge of SQL or Oracle

None of those are SQL certifications, they're all jokes. As I said, he created that sig because of a poster that we nicknamed 'Alphabet soup' who had a list of certs in his sig and little to no apparent knowledge.
RSVP: répondez s'il vous plaît (reply please) OODA: observe, orient, decide, and act MAP could stand for a few hundred things, not sure which he's using NMVP I suspect stands for Not most valuable professional FAQ: Frequently asked questions SAT I believe is a standardised school test in the USA DNA and RNA are indeed biology UOI I'm not sure (could be the reverse of IOU) IOU: I owe you AM and PM are time AD, BC and BCE are divisions of the calendar USA I hope doesn't need translation UN: Probably united nations CF could stand for Confer, but not sure here ROFL: Rolling on the floor laughing LOL: Laughing out Loud ETC: Etcetera.
