I am looking for a db that can keep track of my companies software and hardware purchases. I have looked at the microsoft sample inventory but it has way more than I need. I just want to track serial #'s, date purchased, price, manufacturer, user, etc.Does anyone have any suggestions?Thanx |

If you want that simple a solution, I would definately go for Brett's solution. The commercial variants are heavy and expensive, but they usually hav very nice functionality (like automatic inventory of all hardware and software connected to a network). |

Yeah build your own (again)You can automatically reference the collections to suck all the object information in to tables if you like...no set based processing here though, and you'll need to keep it in synch...Why the hell does JET not have real system tables Brett8-) |
