| I am new to SSRS and several months ago I briefly set up a data source, tested it and created a very simple report. I now have an chance to get back into it and when I am at the SSRS Home page and click the button to start "Report Builder I get the yellow bar at the bottom of the page like I'm trying to open a file. It says: "Do you Want to open or save ReportBuilder_3_0_0_0_0.appliation(15.2 KB) from caholoweckyw7" and then the Open, Save and Cancel buttons. If I click open, the actual XML code behind the page appears and the application does not start. ???Can you suggest what might be wrong? The data source has been created and the connection has been tested successfully. I am running SQL Server 2012 and Windows 7 and IE 9. Thank you for your Help, |

Why the link to all the SQL Server downloads? I have SQL Server 2012 installed, designed a database, accessed it with a C# program. I now want to use SSRS to create reports but when I get into SSRS and click on the Report Builder button, I do not get the template to start designing a report. Instead I get a bar at the bottom of the scree that asks me to Open or save file. It should open up the templete and allow me to start designing a report. |
