Well that certainly is quantifiable....

How about some specifics...

What version

How big is gigatinormous

Have you tried to repair first?

Are you trying to compact it into itself?

Why do the Jets suck?

SELECT @@POST FROM Brain ORDER BY NewId()

That's correct! It's an AlphaNumeric!

Its just a bit large not too bad, I just want to compact and repair and it comes up with that message. It's Access 2000 and it doesnt matter if I compact it to itself or elsewhere I get the same message. I can compact and repair all my other databases it's just this one. I had a network connection problem on and off with my machine last week and the error message first occurred after that. Is that better? We don't have the Jets over here we have Man United!

80kb or 80GB? Huge difference. How big of a database does Access 2000 even support?

80GB...I think access would choke to death at 1GB..

I got a kick out of this in Access helP:

quote:

Database has reached maximum size. (Error 3036)

To add data to this database, you must first reduce its size by deleting data.

Now why didn't I think of that?
