Hi there!What do I need to download to run *.mdb (ms access) file on a comp which has not Ms Access installed???Perhaps could you tell me the exact name of the software (and where could I donwnload it) and could you tell me if I need to download the latest patch (and where) ???Thanx a lot in advance! |

If you want to call the .MDB from VB or ASP you don't need anything, if you actually want to open it up in access, well... you need access Actually, there is something you can do. There was a runtime redistributable edition that I last saw with the office 2000 developer tools CD. It allowed you to distribute access apps with a free runtime.I don't know if it's still available though.Damian |

my problem is that I have two offices. In one of my offices (office no. 1.)I have Microsoft Office 2000 installed on my comp of course registered with license. In the other store (office no. 2.) I dont have office only windows. I would need to run the database I created in office no. 2. I wouldnt like here to change the tables or anything. Just using the forms and registering customers and their data. Do I need Ms Access for it? Or there is other way?Thanx |

I answered that question.You either need a full copy of Access, unless you can find a copy of the Runtime redistributable that was on the Office 2000 developer tools CDDamian |
