Not until SQL Server 2008.But you can use a function to return a table.

also you can return one or more result sets from a proc, but you must know this already, no?

Using OUTPUT clause you cant create a table variable, but you can populate an already created table variable with values from another query using OUTPUT clause. Can i ask what is your requirement? |
