Hello everyone -

1) How do estimate the amount of transaction log that will need to be shipped?

2) Would a transaction log shipping on 8 times a day schedule be too much?

3) What kind of bandwidth should i expect to be used??

thanks
tony

1)Log shipping takes a log backup and ships your log to destination server. you have to find your transaction rate with DBCC SQLperf or check activities.
2) Depends on how you want to sync up.
3)Depends on distance and is better to use good bandwidth .

Depends on how much data you can offer to lose, we ship log every 15 minutes for most dbs.
