First I would like to thank everybody so far in all my posts. I am new to this forum, and hope to one day be able to help others as you have helped me.

My question is with over 100 users what is best?

Sql Server + sql client per user + cal

or

Sql Server 2 CPU license + cal

I just want to be sure that the 2CPU (socket) license will allow for unlimited number of users.

No cal needed for CPU license.

Follow up question. If I have 4 Windows 2003 server, and 100 users, I only need 100 Windows Call Right? even if one of the servers will be SQL, one ASP, and one Storage.

That's correct. But 100 cals may cost more than processor license for 4 servers.

The CPU socket based licensing will allow unlimitd users , but you need to think about whether you can define the amount of users who will be using the sql server. If you can't define the amount of users , then you have to buy a CPU based licensing . Otherwise , get a quote for SQL Server + User Cal
