| hello everybody,I just installed both SQL Server 2005 and Visual Studio 2005 from a CD that a friend of mine gave to me.In fact, the version is SQL Server 2005 Enterprise Edition, and I just installed it on my Home PC.the problem is that, when I want to enter the Management Studio, it prompts me for a password (something like connecting to some server)Someone told me that I could have done some mistake through the installation steps.Had anyone had this kind of experience before ?I really need some help!thnx a lot!If I only could..... |

| My OS is Windows XP Pro sp2.When I want to enter the Management Studio it asks for a server connection. And if I select the Win. Authentication it waits for an user & pass to be entered. Can it be a mistake during the installation,...meaning that...there comes a moment during the installation where I (the user) have to chose between the "domain account" or "local account". Naturally I ticked "local account", but I've also left ticked the optional box telling about "prompt me for username and password when I logon"...Can this be considered as an optional mistake ???------------------------------------------------If I only could..... |
