hi, am new to sql server and have a little problem. i want to create a new sql user, who has only read only rights to my database, but when i am creating it through enterprise manager, it says that "you must be logged in as "SA" or a member of sysadmin of securityadmin to perform this operation. that database is my web site database and i have only right for my database. as i have only dbo rights to my database only, but i am unable to create a new user. plz guide methanks for your consideration my problem ashok sharma |

You should have enough rights for it. you need db_securityadmin for it. |

Which account have you used to connect to db? Are you sure you've used account with dbo rights? |
