| Hello guysWhat is the max Execution time for a SP ? And is there any way of extending it.If am running inserts in a very large table running into millions of updates. Whats best to use.I tried using a scalar function, but cant. Please advicetnxYes O ! |

if you are running the proc from a client API such as ADO.NET then there are timeouts you can set that will be hit if the query runs long. For example, the timeout on System.Data.SqlClient.SqlCommand is 30 sec IIRC.if you are just running the proc by hand from SSMS there is no timeout. elsasoft.org |
