| Greetings,I have been reading that if you setup an Index on yourtable and use a "Contains" function in your .net codethat it will not use the Index at all. Can anyone tellme if this is true..also if anyone can tell me is their a formula to applyor use when figuring out how much memory a SQL servermight need to run at best performence. In my caseI have 1 table with about 550,000 records and thatcould grow to a million in a short time. I am looking to upgrade my server and any input wouldbe great. |

| There is no specific formula as you said. If it is high OLTP and growing huge you could have Enterprise Edition. You can enjoy Table partitioning with it. |
