Whether it is possible to clear the log file when database is in use by executing dump tran Test with nolog

That command will remove inactive log records. It won't clear the log completely. If you're on simple recovery mode, the same thing can be accomplished by running a checkpoint. If you're in full recovery mode and have log backups running, you should be aware that the statement breaks the log chain and you will no longer be able to do point-in-time recoveries until you take a full/diff backup.

Dump Tran is deprecated and shouldn't be used any longer
