I have a report with a table that has 30 columns. I want to give my users the possibility to view and print a short version of the report - only 13 of those 30 columns. I have a parameter which switches between the 2 versions of the report, and I hide the unwanted columns by setting the hidden value on all columns i don't want to show to "true". I want them to be able to print this shorter report.

The report's size is 51,05292cm; 3,78492cm, which obviously won't fit the A4 page - but when only those 13 columns are shown, the report would fit one A4 page. However, when i export into .pdf or print, i get one page with thoze 13 columns, but then a second blank page, which stands for those remaining centimeters in the report size (51,05292cm - 29.7cm for A4 page).

Is there any way to change the size of the report based on the parameter, which tells me if the user wants to see the short version or the complete report? Or do i have to create 2 reports, one complete and one short? (Which is of course not my preferred solution...)

Thanx for any advice.

i think if your shorter version falls under correct page dimension, it will still be rendered in single page.can you try reducing width of columns a bit or even try reducing margin dimensions?

The report is 51,05292cm x 3,78492cm, the A4 size is 29.7cm x 21cm, so there is no way to get all the columns in the A4 size. That is the point of the short version of the report - those 13 columns together make less than 29.7cm (the width of one page). I can't reduce 30 columns to 29cm, not when i want to output names and numbers.
I tried with margins set to 0, didn't help.
