Hi,

I'm attempting to install a second named-instance of SQL Server 2005 Std Edition (x64) on a cluster.

But some how the installer never seems to get pass the [System Configuration Check] screen.

It's as if it's stuck somewhere. Normally, it's quite quick and will run the check and present you with the [Next] button. But I've waited for more than 30 minutes and nothing happens ...

Have rebooted both nodes. And I have also checked to make sure that COM+ is properly configures as per Microsoft's KB article below:

http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms143690(SQL.90).aspx

Have anyone seen this issue before? Any idea how to resolve it?

Check if antivirus or firewall is blocking this install. Generally, this doesn't happen but its worth checking. Also, check Windows eventlog and Setup log. Don't forget to post any cluster related erros.
