| Hello All,Can any one tell me that what is basic purpose of Database Engine Tuning Advisor??Can it be used for query optimization.and Is there any tool or methodolgy in SQL Server 2005 by which I can optimize my T SQL queries.Thanks in Advance. |

DETA will suggest Stats and Indexes for the workload you supply, be that a query, a trace replay or a whole database.Other than that, the best way to optimise queries is to write them properly in the first place.  |
