I am using Access 2003 as a front end to my program built on Sql 2005 as a back end. If I use a field with the type nvarchar greater than 255 charcters, any non English text is converted into ?????? symbols. Did anybody faced such problem.

you mean in sql table? oe viewing in access?

If I enter data through the linked tables in Access I get ????. otherwise through the SQL I do not get this trouble.

are you able to view properties of access tables to see what datatype they exist?

Yes the data type came up to be Memo in access table
