We are planning to install sql server 2005 on 64-bit server, will it be similar to that of 32-bit installation? Is there anything I need to be aware of before installation? If there is any good article you can recommend for reference, it would be greatly appreciated.Thanks! |

Yes it is same as 32-bit .Apply recent SP2(64-bit) and patches. |

Installations are same as 32-bit. But 64-bit means x-64 or IA-64. FYI- I think you cannot install SSIS on IA-64 |
