What is the recommendation for moving databases to new disk with the same disk name ie Drive W: will stay W:? Detach/Attach or Backup/Restore. The new disks are aligned with 64k blocks, the old ones are not. Simply copying the db to new disk will/won't take advantage of aligned disks? Plus the new disks have more space. What is the best approach? Please help, thanks.Operating System: Windows Server 2003SQL 2005 Enterprise SP2 |
