| after i installed sql 2005 and choosing the authentication mode to windows authentication i was not able to connect to the database with the current username(the user name and password are grayed ii can't edit) choosing connect made login failed for user... with error 18456computer is running under vista workgroup will this not work if workgroup? |

| nope. system should be part of domain and sql server should have a login corresponding to domain account. |

| so what shall i do in this case unistall sql server then install with mixed mode with supplying an sa password? |
