Hello friends,My company is trying to build a report for comparison purposes.we have various fact measures to be compared .but each fact measure have facts in different time dimension which makes the job challenging .we have basically all the time dimensions year, quarter, month, week, day.basically we need to look at the historical data like how our sales and revenue were happening and based on which we are going to forecast the demand.for if the fact measure is in month and other one is in work week, the comparison is happening between pricing and the quantity which should be displayed in week in report.i am not sure how the layout should.how to we compare the data for different time dimension and create a report layout(how the report would like and what columns and keys are to be used)can someone help me regarding thisfor example, one fact measure has fact in week time dimesndion and has historical data of 100,90,80,70 products sold for rs.100,150,160,180 for jan 2005another fact measure has fact in month time dimesnion and has data of 360 products sold in jan 2005 (may be at a diferent location) at the price of 90 for jan 2005we need to compare the data for which we need to create a report and how report layout can be laid out?????thanks in advance |

may be you can go for dynamic grouping i.e add a parameter on report which designates what grouping you want with values like week,month,..then based on it use appropriate fields on grouping properties tab. |
