Hello,
I will like to know about the inner workings of SP and functions.

IF i have a SP that thats 1 hour to execute and another application fires the same SP, will the 2nd and other applications have to wait for the resource to be released before it fires ?

Thanks

In terms of locking, yes. The probability that the two running instances will block each other is high when a normal operation takes one hour.
But it depends on what the SP is doing.

If an SP takes one hour two complete, I would look for a way to optimize the SP first.
