| Hi All,Firstly thank you for looking at this post.I am trying to create a maintenance plan on my SQL box, but when i right click on the maintenance plans option I only get the refresh option.Does anybody have any ideas?Kind RegardsPete. |

| That is because you are connecting to SQL 2000 Maint plan in your 2005 client tool. |

| Hi Sodeep,Thanks for your reply, i knew i could count on you.....i have checked the machine it is a sql2005 instance. I logged on to the physical server and found out its only running SQL Express would this stop me creating or modifying Maintenance plans mate??Kind RegardsPete. |

| Don't think you can create Maintenance plans in sql server express because there's no sql agent to execute the jobs is there |
