Tapio writes "My environment is SQL Server 7.0 and hundreds of
clients. When the clients try to replicate data,
using oSLQMerge replication via Internet connection,
it stops or rather is "not responding" and the
replication agent on the server is on "sleeping" state.

Why is that? Replication itself is not very reliable,
and thus the above, data is often missing. New replication
attempts also give the information "replication agent is
running" and stops there. The agent on the server has
to be manually "shut down" and data (after a subsequent
replication) is missing. Any ideas how to cope with
this "problema"?

Greetings from Finland!

Tapio Koivisto"
