I would look at the following:http://www.sqlservercentral.com/articles/Administration/61680/grab a copy of "How to be an Exceptional DBA" by Brad McGeheehttp://www.red-gate.com/products/sql_backup/offers/exceptional_dba_awards.htm?utm_source=dba_awards&utm_medium=button&utm_content=being_exceptional&utm_campaign=sqlbackupVisit websites like these often:http://www.sqlteam.com/http://www.sqlservercentral.com/http://www.sql-server-performance.com/Get experience with the product. Work through examples. Solve problems. Try to help others, and learn yourself.Hope that gets you started. |

>>I am working as a software engineer on .NET,...I dont know any Administration tasksYou can start with performance turning (analyzing the query execution plan, index, etc.). Also you can volunteer for DBA tasks. |
