| Hello, I am using Windows Vista SP1 and VS 2008. I also want to install SQL server 2000 and connect a database from VS 2008 (Visual Basic .Net enviroment) but it can't see SQL server 2000. I installed first VS 20008 and later SQL Server 2000 .... nothing .... then the opposite .... and again nothing.Any suggestions? Is it a problem of compatibility or something? Last time I installed everything I didn't install MSsqlExpress from VS 2008 .... but again I had the same problems. |

| Are you having trouble installing SQL Server or connecting it!! You can very much install SQL Server 2008 first then SQL SErver 2005 and at the last 2000 there is no strict rule that you should install SQL 2000 first then SQL 2005 and then SQL 2008...Please post the error message you are getting so that we could suggest you the better option...HTHRegardsHemantgiri S.
